David Matsumiya

David Matsumiya concentrates his practice in the areas of civil litigation (commercial, construction, and real estate), commercial and residential foreclosures, banking and financial services, commercial transactions, including business formation, and condominium law.

David, who was born and raised in Hawaii, received a B.A. in Society and Justice from the University of Washington and earned his Juris Doctorate from Seattle University School of Law, where he was awarded a Golden Gavel Lifetime Service Award for his service on the Moot Court Board.

Prior to returning home, David spent 15 years honing his legal research and writing skills in Seattle, Washington, and has over 20 years of experience in the legal profession.

David is admitted to practice law in all courts for the State of Hawaii, including the U.S. District Court for the District of Hawaii.

In addition to his legal practice, David is also a lecturer in the Legal Education (Paralegal) program, which is approved by the American Bar Association, at University of Hawaii, Kapiolani Community College.
