Bruce Jackson (1942 - 2014)

Bruce G. Jackson led the Estate Planning and Business Planning practice groups for the firm and acted as supervising attorney for thousands of individual and charitable revocable and irrevocable estate plans.

Mr. Jackson was a graduate of the Boalt Hall School of Law of the University of California (Berkeley) and for many years a senior partner of his own firm. He was active in the Hawaii State Bar Association, serving as a Director and Chair (1995) of the Real Property and Financial Services Section, and was a member of the Taxation, Business Law and Estate and Gift Tax Sections; as well as the American Bar Association (the Real Property and Probate, Banking and Commercial Law, and Law Practice Management Sections). A long-standing member of the Hawaii Estate Planning Council, Mr. Jackson also served as a performance and ethics reviewer for the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.

Mr. Jackson advised clients concerning estate planning, tax planning and probate issues as well as commercial transactions and entity (corporate, limited partnership and limited liability company) formations, acquisitions and disposition; commercial and residential real estate matters, commercial mortgage loan and development documentation, and real estate conveyancing.
